Overall the scores were quite tightly grouped. So just narrowly missing out on the ribbons and in no particular order were:

Jemma Elliott and Arlo

Helen Wood and Rosie

Joanne Maybin and Daisy

Louise Devlin and Fide

The search area was an upstairs room. The room was sectioned in half using available chairs and a table. There was a glass door to the stairs at one end of the area and several recessed windows at floor level. All were double glazed and locked.

Within the search area there were assorted sizes of tables and numerous chairs, a large piece of audio equipment, a screen and stand which were on their side and three electric heaters (all unplugged).

The hide was placed within the end of one leg of the screen stand which was in the centre of the room.

Most handlers allowed the dog to free search with a couple opting for staying on a line. Six teams worked with gun oil and five with clove.

All dogs located the hide. It was nice to see handlers recognising when their dogs were in odour and giving their dogs space to work it in.

Well done everyone, lovely teamwork

Judges -

Janine Brownlees & Nicky Rodgers .

Search area was a rectangular area consisting of exterior windows and 2 fire exits , there were several tables with a few chairs, a lovely stone wall , a large number of chairs were folded up along the perimeter of the search area , there was plastic marquee sheeting on part of the floor there were several trestles & other items at the far end of search area .

There was a large metal ring with fake foliage on a stand in between the trestles .

The first hide was hidden in the stone wall approx a metre from exterior door nose height for the smallest dog .

The Second hide was located at ground level in the concrete base of the foliage ring.

Both hides were accessible to all dogs.

The majority of teams covered the area well. Indication quality affected scores.

There were a few dogs and handlers who were able to find both hides successfully , some found only one and some found no odour despite searching areas reasonably well.
